Throughout October we’ve teamed up with the Brunel shopping centre to collect bras from the ladies of Swindon to raise funds in support of our pioneering breast cancer research.
The Brunel are calling on the ladies of Swindon to donate their unwanted bras to help us to raise vital funds throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Brunel shopping centre occupies over half of Swindon town centre’s retail area and contains over 100 retailers, cafes and restaurants, with House of Fraser Outlet, Boots, Marks and Spencer and Sainsburys to name but a few.
Jane Stewart, Marketing Manager at The Brunel said; “I know that many of us have several bras hanging around that have seen better days. By donating your bras to this appeal you can help in the fight against this awful disease.”
Drop a pound in a cup
For those willing to make an extra donation The Brunel are asking shoppers to tape a pound coin into each bra cup. “An extra pound in each cup would be great!” said Jane.
Bras can be donated to The Brunel’s appeal by taking them to the bra bins located all around the shopping centre and in store at Marks & Spencer (Lingerie department), House of Fraser (Lingerie department), Ann Summers on Regent Street and even in the foyer of The Wyvern Theatre!
The Bra bins will be available until the end of October and will help us to mark breast cancer awareness month.
Special events are promised, from celebrity appearances to yarn bombing events around the town, to keep up to date with all the latest news, follow the The Brunel on their website, on Facebook or on Twitter
