Specsavers in Sevenoaks recently held a wonderful raffle in aid of Against Breast Cancer. All the items in the raffle were donated by local businesses. As well as the raffle, they also sold lots of cakes, again all donated by local businesses, and the rest being made by the lovely Ann Ruddle, a Sevenoaks resident.
Retail Director, Max Morgans, said “We recently held a raffle for Against Breast Cancer at our shop, raising an amazing £825.82. We would like to thank all of our amazing customers for their support in helping us raise money and awareness for such an important cause. We would also like to thank all of the wonderful local businesses who donated so many great prizes for the raffle.
“We cannot forget to mention Steph Harrison. Steph is such an incredible person and she has been turning the town pink for many years, so it was lovely to be able to support her again. It has been an honour and a pleasure knowing that our contribution will help so many people.”
Steph, part of the Charity Angels group who support Against Breast Cancer as their charity of the year, said, “I would like to thank the team at Specsavers Sevenoaks, not only for their amazing efforts recently but also for the support they have given me in my efforts to raise money and awareness over the years.”
Thank you to Max, Ann, Steph and everyone at Specsavers for supporting breast cancer research. If you want to hold your own event, download a fundraising pack or find out how your business can get involved.
