Ethan, who works at a recruitment agency called Athona as a portal officer apprentice, has raised over £1,000 for Against Breast Cancer after doing a sponsored head shave. He decided he wanted to do something to raise money for Against Breast Cancer after a family member was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago.
Driven by his desire to support his aunt and raise awareness for breast cancer, Ethan launched a JustGiving page, which has already raised an incredible £1,042. The sponsored head shave was held at his workplace on 12th September. Friends, colleagues, and well-wishers rallied around Ethan, showing their support both in person and through generous donations.
Ethan said “I chose this charity as my aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer a month or two ago and I wanted to show my support somehow. So, I had the idea of shaving my head to raise awareness for breast cancer and raise some money for it.
“I chose this charity because the funds go to ground-breaking research to improve detection, treatment and increase survival after breast cancer diagnosis. I have raised up to £1040 for the Against Breast Cancer charity so far.”
From all of us at Against Breast Cancer, we extend a heartfelt thank you to Ethan and to everyone who generously donated through his JustGiving page. Your contributions will play a vital role in funding life-saving research and supporting those affected by breast cancer.
