We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Freemasons of the Abbey Lodge 945 for organising their recent Pig Racing night in support of our breast cancer research as part of their campaign to promote Freemasonry in the community.
The event was a real community celebration, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and plenty of opportunities for guests to show their support for a local charity. Of course, the pigs (of the clockwork variety) were the star attraction on the night as they raced along a short tabletop track. It’s fair to say that they were the real reason everyone went the whole hog with their fundraising! The evening raised an astonishing £2500!
A special thank you to the organisers and local businesses for donating prizes for the raffle and contributing to ensure everything ran as smoothly.
The funds raised will support vital research into secondary spread, the main cause of breast cancer-related deaths.
