Well done to Noah Smith who has raised an amazing £952 for Against Breast Cancer by hosting a race night in Millers Bar at his local football club, New Mills AFC, in Derbyshire.
Noah said “I chose Against Breast Cancer due to my college teacher having beaten breast cancer and I know many friends who have been affected by it. I did some research into the charity and I thought I could help out, I wanted to raise any money possible for the charity to carry on doing its amazing work to research into breast cancer.”
“I also spread the word about male breast cancer because not many males even knew it was possible,” he told us, “so I made sure to make that a part of my fundraising campaign. All the people I managed to speak to I have opened there eyes about making sure they check themselves whenever possible.” He also wishes to fundraise for us in the future.
The evening was a huge success, and lots of fun was had by all, with over 100 supporters attending the event, all of whom gave very generously, including the cash prize winner who donated £150 back to the charity.
We would like to say a BIG thank you from us all here at Against Breast Cancer to Noah for organising the event in New Mills and to all the supporters who attended and gave so generously, and a HUGE thank you for the wonderful amount you have raised for our charity. We will look forward to your future fundraising events.
