Blackpool Skip Hire turns pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
We are delighted to announce that Blackpool Skip Hire partnered with us for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we are pretty sure that if you live in the area, you may have noticed them.
They wanted to raise awareness of the charity and the ways people can support us. They decided to paint one of their skips pink and get more people recycling clothes and bras – chucking them into the skip and helping Against Breast Cancer to raise more money to fund research into breast cancer.
Each year recycling helps to generate thousands of pounds for the charity helping us to beat secondary spread breast cancer. Blackpool Skips resonated with the recycling aspect of our charity fundraising particularly as reducing landfill is a key part of the company and they strive to reduce this through recycling processes.
As a company we have decided to support Breast Cancer Awareness month in October to raise awareness of male and female cancer in the UK, cancer has affected some of our staff and their families and it is close to our heart and something we will be proud to be apart of.

This unique idea is raising awareness of the charity and our cause through October with the Pink Skip Tour going across Blackpool and the Fylde coast. Blackpool’s skips are bringing women together to recycle their old bras reducing the number of clothing items that go into landfill that could be recycled and help raise money for our vital research.
As well as collecting clothes, Blackpool Skips are also fundraising through the month. You can see them skip through breast cancer awareness month on their Facebook page, find out where the skip is and donate to help their fundraising.
