On Saturday 23rd February The Body Training Studio in Wallingford hosted their second annual Train the Trainer day to raise funds for Against Breast Cancer. Customers and members were encouraged to dream up and donate their very own 15 minute workout routines, while the gym staff were tasked with taking them on throughout the day.
Gym owner Mark O’Hanlon said “Train the trainer was a brilliant, rewarding and very tiring day, being put through our paces with almost 50 x 15 minute workouts donated by our members. Lots of money raised for a fantastic cause and well worth the pain.”
A few highlights of the day involved staff members, Ash and Zoe putting on their very own Dirty Dancing Routine whilst a clown outfit was passed around to individuals to don for specific workouts!
The event has already raised in excess of £800 with donations still coming in! Mark was delighted by the surprise arrival of our Founders Tony and Patricia Leathem who went along to watch and support. Patricia was so impressed and thanked Mark and Zoe who organised the fundraiser for all their hard work, describing the event as mental as well as physical and delightfully enjoyable watching Ash, Morgan and Zoe’s so elegant, memorable and daring Dirty Dancing routine.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated and contributed in any way to make the fundraiser so successful.

The team at The Body Training Studio are already planning for Train the Trainer 2020 but not before gym owner Mark jumps in the saddle for an epic 48 hour cycling challenge in July as part of the Wallingford Festival of cycling.
Mark and his team will once again be fundraising for Against Breast Cancer and we will be tracking his progress across all our social media channels on the weekend of 13th/14th July. We would like to thank all the team at The Body Training Studio for such a fantastic initiative and wish them all the best for their future endeavours.
