Race to the King – a route steeped in history where you will follow in the paths of Kings. Take the Monarch’s Way to the ancient coastal village of Bosham and on to the mighty Arundel Castle. Race like royalty with pit stops packed with food and expert support throughout. And the perfect event to bring along the family for a fun-filled day of entertainment in the wonderful basecamp at Goodwood.
The 100KM route takes you on a journey to the coast before looping back to Goodwood Racecourse and out towards Arundel Castle and the heights of the South Downs. The Figure of 8 loop makes the simplest possible format to tick off an 100km ultra marathon. You can race the full course non-stop through the night or stay in basecamp and complete the challenge over two days.
Race to the King is an event to suit everyone, with two 50km options also available. Either take on the Coastal route with its rolling hills, luscious greenery and fantastic wildlife on the Saturday. Or perhaps you might prefer the Castle loop, meandering along the river Arun past the splendour of Arundel castle and out on to the South Downs.
With 50km packages: £30, Non-stop package: £40 and the Weekender package: £60, there is an option for everyone.
